Toronto, ON (August 13, 2026) – AFC Toronto announced today that defender Kaela Hansen has departed the club and will be joining Vancouver Rise FC of the Northern Super League.

Hansen joined AFC Toronto in 2024 ahead of the club’s inaugural season and made 24 appearances across her time in Toronto, scoring one goal. She was part of the AFC Toronto squad that won the NSL Supporters Shield and advanced to the NSL Final in 2025.

“We want to thank Kaela for everything she has contributed to AFC Toronto since joining the club,” said Billy Wilson, Sporting Director, AFC Toronto. “She has been an important part of our journey, and we wish her all the best as she returns home to British Columbia and begins this next chapter with Vancouver Rise FC.”
