Toronto, ON (April 2, 2026) — AFC Toronto unveils its 2026 Primary Kit, pushing its identity forward with a design grounded in football tradition and built for how the game is lived today.
The club keeps Mighty Maroon at the centre and brings Warm Winter forward through a classic collar and sleeve cuffs, a small shift, but one that immediately changes the look and feel of the shirt. The addition of the classic collar grounds it in a version of football people recognise and is inspired by matchday culture of the 80s and 90s, it’s designed to feel just as natural off the pitch as it does on it.
Rather than reinvent, AFC Toronto sharpens its identity. Every detail serves a purpose. Nothing is added without intent. The result is a shirt that feels complete, wearable and built to last.
AFC Toronto’s 2026 Primary Kit also highlights the club’s founding partners, with Desjardins Group featured as the front-of-kit partner and Intact Insurance as the founding back-of-kit partner, reinforcing their shared commitment to supporting the growth of women’s professional sport in Canada and helping shape the future of the game alongside the club.
“This year’s kit shows exactly how we want AFC Toronto to step into the season — confident in our identity and focused on building something new for this city and the next generation,” said Helena Ruken, Co-Founder and CEO of AFC Toronto. “It’s consistent, and it reflects how we want to show up on and off the pitch. We’re proud to do that alongside partners like Desjardins Group and Intact Insurance, who share our commitment to growing the game and investing in its future.”
To mark the launch, AFC Toronto partnered with Exhibition Place to bring the kit into the city, unveiling a larger-than-life version of the jersey at the iconic Princess Gates. The installation creates a bold visual moment while reinforcing Exhibition Place’s role as a growing home for women’s professional sport – and one of AFC Toronto’s home venues for the 2026 season.
"Exhibition Place is proud to partner with AFC Toronto and further strengthen our role as a premier home for women's professional sports in Canada" said Don Boyle, CEO of Exhibition Place. “Unveiling their 2026 Kit at our iconic Princes' Gates marks a significant step for the club and women's sports, and we look forward to a successful 2026 season ahead.”
The reveal is part of a broader city-wide moment, with AFC Toronto “painting the city maroon” on April 1. Sankofa Square, the CN Tower and Liberty Grand, along with Exhibition Place, lit up in the club’s signature colour to build anticipation and celebrate the new season.
As the club enters its second season, the 2026 Primary Kit reinforces a clear direction: build identity through consistency, not constant change. Create something recognisable. Carry it forward.
Made for matchday. Worn everywhere else. Distinctly AFC Toronto.
