AFC Toronto is back home to take on Ottawa Rapid FC in their fifth and final matchup of the season. Toronto (9-7-5, 34 points) currently sits third in the Northern Super League table, five points back of first place.
Saturday marks the fifth meeting between the two sides, with Toronto holding a 1-2-1 record against Ottawa. The previous four matches have been closely contested, with both losses coming by just a single goal.
Toronto enters Saturday’s match following a 1-1 draw against Halifax last week. The team opened the scoring just 53 seconds into the match, the fastest goal in AFC Toronto history, before Halifax equalized to bring the game level.
Meanwhile, Ottawa enters Saturday’s match following a 3-1 win over Calgary Wild FC last weekend. The result moved Ottawa just ahead of Toronto in the league table, with Ottawa now sitting second, three points behind Montreal Roses FC, who currently hold top spot and are the only team to have officially clinched a playoff berth.

Toronto has one win, one loss and two draws against the Rapids. In all four matches, neither team has scored more than two goals.
