Signed by AFC Toronto ahead of the club’s inaugural Northern Super League season in 2025. Hong Hye Ji joins as a seasoned international with major tournament experience.

Joined AFC Toronto from Incheon Hyundai Steel Red Angels WFC and was officially announced as part of the club in January 2025.

Hong Hye Ji brings a wealth of top-tier experience from the WK League, where she helped Hyundai Steel Red Angels to multiple domestic titles and competed in the AFC Women’s Club Championship. Her career began in Japan with INAC Kobe Leonessa before being drafted first overall in the 2018 WK League Draft by Changnyeong WFC.

 

INTERNATIONAL
A senior international with 40 caps for South Korea. Represented her country at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, appearing in the group stage match against Morocco. She’s also played against global powers including the United States and England. Previously, Hong Hye Ji won the AFC U-19 Women’s Championship in 2013 and featured at two FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cups. In 2015, she was named the Korea Football Association Young Player of the Year.
