Announced by AFC Toronto on January 31, 2025, on loan from North Carolina Courage ahead of the club’s inaugural Northern Super League season.

TRANSACTIONS
Joined AFC Toronto on loan from North Carolina Courage. Previously played for NJ/NY Gotham FC and Kansas City Current in the NWSL.

PROFESSIONAL
Pickett was selected 15th overall in the 2021 NWSL Draft by Kansas City Current, where she quickly made history — scoring the club’s first-ever goal in August 2021 and securing its first win. That goal came in front of boys she’d mentored through coaching, marking a deeply personal and full-circle moment. She was a finalist for NWSL Rookie of the Year in 2021. Pickett was traded to Gotham FC in 2022 for $200K and a first-round pick, then to North Carolina Courage in 2023 for another $200K. She made 29 regular-season appearances and 8 cup appearances, helping NC win the 2023 NWSL Challenge Cup.

COLLEGE
At the University of Wisconsin–Madison, Pickett was a MAC Hermann Trophy semifinalist, a First Team All-American (2018), and a three-time All-Big Ten selection (2015, 2017, 2018). A dynamic and technical midfielder, she stood out nationally for her intelligence on the ball and ability to control tempo.

INTERNATIONAL
Pickett has represented Canada at every level, including the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup (2012) and two FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cups (2014, 2016). She earned silver medals at Concacaf Championships with both the U17 and U20 squads and made her senior debut in 2021 against Mexico. She remains in consideration for future selection.

YOUTH
A product of Barrie Soccer Club and Ontario’s Provincial Program, Pickett came through Canada Soccer’s EXCEL system and built her foundation across provincial, national, and collegiate stages before turning pro.

OFF THE FIELD
Pickett brings more than skill—she brings substance. Named the 2022 Nationwide Community Impact Award winner and a 2024 Lauren Holiday Impact Award nominee, she’s as committed to change as she is to the game. With academic roots in psychology, marketing, and policy analysis—and a passion for philosophy (Marcus Aurelius is a favourite)—Pickett is as thoughtful as she is fearless. She once taught herself to ride a unicycle at 14, just for the challenge. Her return to the pitch after a devastating injury in 2019 only deepens the respect she commands: resilient, grounded, and always evolving.
