Announced by AFC Toronto in July 2026, D’Angelo joins the club ahead of the second half of the 2026 Northern Super League season.

TRANSACTIONS

Joined AFC Toronto following over a decade of professional experience across North America and Europe, including time with the Western New York Flash, North Carolina Courage, Vittsjö GIK, Arsenal FC, and Aston Villa FC.

PROFESSIONAL

D’Angelo began her professional career with the Western New York Flash in 2015, winning the NWSL Championship in her debut season and earning Championship MVP honours after making three saves in the penalty shootout. She went on to win two NWSL Shields with the North Carolina Courage (2017, 2018) before moving to Sweden, where she spent four seasons with Vittsjö GIK in the Damallsvenskan. In her first season with the club, Vittsjö achieved a historic third-place finish – the highest in the club’s history. She then joined Arsenal FC in the Women’s Super League in 2023, where she was part of the squad that won the 2022–23 FA Women’s League Cup. Most recently, D'Angelo represented Aston Villa FC in the Women's Super League before joining AFC Toronto.

INTERNATIONAL

D’Angelo has been a member of the Canadian Women’s National Team program since 2015 and has represented Canada at the 2016 at the 2016 Rio Olympics, the 2019 and 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cups, the 2024 Paris Olympics, and the 2024 CONCACAF W Gold Cup, where Canada won bronze.

COLLEGE

D'Angelo played collegiately at the University of South Carolina from 2011-2014, where she earned a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science and established herself as one of the most accomplished goalkeepers in program history. As a freshman, she was named SEC Co-Defensive Player of the Year, SEC Freshman of the Year, and SEC Goalkeeper of the Year. She went on to earn SEC Defensive Player of the Year honours twice during her career, was named an NSCAA First Team All-American in 2013, and was a semifinalist for the MAC Hermann Trophy. D'Angelo served as team captain in her senior season before beginning her professional career with the Western New York Flash in 2015.

YOUTH

D’Angelo represented Canada at the youth international level, earning call-ups to the U-17 and U-20 national teams. She was part of the Canadian squad that won gold at the 2010 CONCACAF Women’s U-17 Championship and earned silver at the 2012 CONCACAF Women’s U-20 Championship. She was named Canada Soccer’s U-20 Female Player of the Year in 2012.

OFF THE FIELD

D'Angelo is passionate about community impact and giving back through the game. During her time in England, she worked closely with the Aston Villa Foundation on programs designed to create positive impact and inspire the next generation. Growing up, she looked up to Canadian goalkeeping legend Erin McLeod and holds a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science from the University of South Carolina. Away from football, D'Angelo enjoys gaming and spending time with friends, often playing Fortnite during her downtime. Her go-to hype song before a match is "We're Here for a Good Time" by Trooper.
